ALCÁIC, -Ă, alcaici, -ce, adj. (În sintagmele) Vers alcaic = vers antic format din cinci picioare, cu cezura după al doilea picior. Strofă alcaică = strofă compusă din patru versuri: două alcaice, unul iambic şi unul coriambic. [pr.: -ca-ic] – Din fr. alcaïque.
