LAŢ1, laţuri, s.n. 1. Nod larg la capătul unei sfori, întocmit în aşa fel încât să se poată strânge în jurul unui punct fix. 2. Instrument pentru prins păsări sau animale, constând dintr-un ochi de sfoară, de sârmă etc. – lat. *laceus (= laqueus).
