MEGÁRIC, -Ă, megarici, -ce, adj., s.m. 1. adj. (În sintagma) Şcoala megarică = şcoală filozofică din Grecia antică întemeiată de Euclid din Megara. 2. s.m. Adept al acestei şcoli. – Din fr. mégarique.

MEGÁRIC, -Ă adj. Şcoală megarică = şcoală filozofică idealistă grecească, întemeiată de Euclid din Megara, care căuta să unească etica idealistă a lui Socrate cu doctrina eleată asupra existenţei imuabile, susţinând că singura existenţă reală ar fi binele imuabil. // s.m. şi f. Adept al acestei şcoli. [< fr. mégarique, cf. Megara – oraş în Grecia antică].
