PETRARCHÍSM s.n. Imitare a manierei de a scrie a lui Petrarca, cântând alternanţa de bucurii şi dureri a dragostei cu ajutorul unei poetici rafinate şi utilizând metafora, antiteza, hiperbola şi jocul subtil de cuvinte. [< it. petrarchismo, fr. pétrarquisme, cf. Francesco Petrarca – poet italian].
