PROBABILÍSM s.n. 1. Doctrină filozofică potrivit căreia nu există propoziţii certe, orice enunţ având numai un oarecare grad de probabilitate (mai mult sau mai puţin probabil, plauzibil sau verosimil), neputându-se stabili cu certitudine în ce măsură este adevărat sau nu. 2. Sistem catolic de teologie morală potrivit căruia, atunci când există un conflict între o normă şi liberatate, o acţiune contra normei este permisă dacă are consensul unei persoane prudente. v. probabiliorism. PROBABILÍSM s. n. 1. concepţie potrivit căreia nu se poate stabili cu certitudine dacă un enunţ este adevărat sau nu, ci se poate distinge doar un oarecare grad de probabilitate. 2. caracterul probabil, statistic al fenomenelor şi proceselor sociale. 3. principiu moral potrivit căruia atunci când există un conflict între o normă şi libertate, o acţiune contra normei este permisă dacă ea se desfăşoară conform unei opinii probabile.
